20/20 Vision welcome Los Angeles based band ASHRR to the label…
We’ve always enjoyed working with bands as well as producers and thought it was about time Crazy P have some company on the imprint. And it was indeed Crazy P that first brought ASHRR to our attention with a sound that can be described like Roxy Music jamming with ESG on a warm sunny Sunday in Central Park!
ASHRR masterfully combine memorable vocal harmonies with live instrumentation and electronics and will be presenting their debut album ’Sunshine Low’ in 2024 but will treat us to a selection of singles and remixes dropping from September 2023 starting with the single ‘Fizzy’ that features remixes from OG dub pioneer Scientist and Felix Dickinson fresh from closing Block 9 Glastonbury and Gramophone at Houghton festivals.
ASHRR have also recorded a cover version of a long forgotten 80s hit by The Romantics - Talking in Your Sleep that they have been playing live that comes complete with a superb set of remixes from Fernando Pulichino, who is no stranger to bands and behind the bass and vocals of another band on the label - 2020Soundsystem alongside a myriad of productions for International Feel, Leng and Futureboogie.
