2020 Vision Recordings

The Electric Press are back with their third release for 2020. It may seem a while since they dropped the Re:Volt and Re:Evaluate singles but they have been working hard in the studio on their debut album. The guys were keen to make sure they were not type cast as Electro House dons and so have been experimenting with different sounds, styles and vocalists for the project. We are pleased to present the first two cuts here as a taster of the long player due in September. I am sure you will agree they have created two fresh and lively tracks with a new edge and drive indeed! They have now also developed a full live show with Tom on vocals and plenty of machines for Wes to tinker with. This was recently debuted at Clubclass at the Ministry Of Sound and then taken to tour Australia where they played main stage at Field Day for 10,000 people. This month they also have remixes done for Bumper, Nic Fanciulli and Twisted Frequency. So you can well and truly say that the boys are back in town! Tone Control is perhaps the guys most original work to date. We are not even sure how to describe it but it certainly takes influences from the Erotic Disco sounds coming out of Leeds Back To Basics club as well as placing rhythms inspired from the breaks scene into a more abstract techno landscape. One word-Fresh, universal reaction-Go nuts ! A New World is a long piece written live in one take in the studio. Rather than edit it down we decided to present the whole work on this 12"as its in-genius twists, turns and changes keep constant attention. EP use string parts to continually expand and lift the piece creating a perfect atmosphere for afterhours clubs and summer raves. We predict you will hear this a lot of the coming months.
