We are proud to introduce our latest signing, Nick Chacona. We have been fans of Nick's for a while now from his superb releases on Bearfunk, Hector Works, Greyhound, Strata and Mood Music. Nick is a New York resident who has been developing his catchy and melodic sound for the last ten years. His love of reggae, hip hop, disco and house can all be heard influencing his work, which combines live instruments with state of the art production techniques, whilst still capturing an authentic retro sound. Through The Door opens Nick's 2020 account in style. It's a classic Chacona production of atmospheric space funk, combining more synths than a Jean Michel Jarre stage show, solid disco beats and eyes firmly on the dancefloor. Imagine Lindstrom on disco biscuits and you get the idea. The Next wears its Italo influences on its sleeve, and will appeal to fans of Francisco, Morgan Geist and Chicken Lips. The disco synths return (he loves his synths!) and ride over shuffling percussion, a rubbery bass and build into an epic piece of 21st. century disco.
