Geoffrey T and Mr Pauli met in The Hague with an idea to give the place some funk and it's probably pretty safe to say that it needed it. So with their mission in place the pair got some studio time together and put their vast knowledge of 80s electronic funk to good use. The connection to La Prince, formerly known as The Purple One, can't be missed on Cosmopolitan Lover, their debut single for us as Bumper earlier this year. A decidedly funk-ridden affair, which was picked up by some convincingly heavy weight DJs, with Nic Fanciulli, Ashley Beedle, Laurent Garnier and James Zabiela getting straight on it.
Their superb production skills have a quirky edge, which they cite as having developed from their love of other unique electronic artists such as Zapp, Midnight Star, Cameo and Egyptian Lover. Aiming to capture even a small part of that funk magic, the pair began producing together a few years ago and has recently had releases on Point.One, WireBlock, Love is War and MDEX. Pauli also records and tours as one half of Novamen and has released tracks on both Viewlexx and Murder Capital.
